What a Sunset Terra Evening Looks Like
Sunset Terra is reservation-only, with a small number of tables and a slow pace. Plan your evening around the sunset:
- Arrive 45 minutes before sunset. You have time to be seated, choose a wine and settle in before the light starts to change.
- Take your time. Dinner follows a slow-dining format, and the wine list centres on Santorini Assyrtiko and other island wines, with pairings on request.
- Sunset tables carry a €300 minimum per table. In peak season they fill weeks ahead, so book early for July and August.
- Getting here. Oia is paved in cobblestone and has steps. Flat shoes are easier than heels, and a light layer helps on breezy evenings, though we keep blankets on the terrace.
Sunset Terra is open in season, from May to the end of October. For a drink without a reservation, Bites & Bubbles on the level below has the same caldera view.
Sunset Terra is the fine dining top floor of Santorini Sunsets in Oia. It works on a reservation only model and offers a smaller, more private space with a focus on gourmet cuisine, wine pairings and sunset views. For a more laid back, casual experience, the Bites & Bubbles level of Santorini Sunsets, allows walk-ins for drinks and small dishes.
We provide wine-pairing options featuring exceptional local Santorini and Greek wines to complement your meal perfectly.
Sunset Terra is very popular for proposals, honeymoons and anniversaries.
If you tell us in advance, we can help you plan the perfect moment during sunset.
Book your table to start 45 minutes before the official sunset time. You arrive relaxed, order your drinks, and enjoy the whole light show from start to finish. Check the sunset time for your date before you book.
For sunset tables, book three to four weeks ahead in July and August, and two to three weeks ahead in May, June and September. In October a few days is usually enough. Sunset tables carry a €300 minimum per table.
Sunset Terra is open in season, from May to the end of October, and closes over the winter. Reservations are required.
We recommend a casual chic dress code.
Temperature
We provide blankets for our guests, however, consider carrying a light jacket because it can get a little breezy especially in the evening hours on our open terrace.
Location Limitations
High heels may sound a good idea but keep in mind that the traditional village of Oia is paved in cobblestone so it might not be the ideal choice of footwear.
