Our Story
Sunsets Santorini’s story starts in the 18th century, in the heart in Oia’s caldera. For generations, our family has valued this land. We’ve passed down traditions and a love for Santorini’s culture. Our original Cycladic home represented resilience and community, with stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
In 1956, a terrible earthquake hit Santorini, leaving much of Oia in ruins. Our family’s ancestral home was one of the losses. We were determined to rebuild. In the 1990s, we restored the property, creating a welcoming space that honored its past. This revival marked the start of our restaurant, blending tradition with a fresh vision.
Our Story
As Santorini became famous, so did Sunsets Santorini. In the 1990s, our family’s next generation embraced the island’s culinary changes. They introduced fresh Mediterranean flavors and fine wines. The restaurant quickly became a favorite for locals and visitors. We offered unforgettable dining with Santorini’s stunning sunsets.
In 2004, Sunsets Santorini underwent a transformation to cater to modern travelers’ needs. We updated our menu to feature local ingredients, refined our Mediterranean dishes, and added excellent Greek wines. Today, Sunsets Santorini is a luxury dining destination. Each meal honors flavor, tradition, and the breathtaking caldera views.
